Let us entertain you--some of us are real hams! Our California Sea Lions, for example, in the Children's Zoo make quite a splash! They're not only entertaining, they're educational as well.

Sea Lions Lenny and Munchkin will show you how we speak, smell and hear like a sea lion.. They will amaze you with their swimming and diving skills. They can even recycle! You can see the sea lion demonstration every day (except Tuesdays) at noon and 3pm May-October.*

You can also learn about other animals in the Wal-Mart amphitheater. Get to know a colorful Cockatoo,  alert Hedgehogs and finicky Ferrets. Presentations are scheduled daily starting in June.*

Some inhabitants of the Children's Zoo include rabbits, goats and sheep in the contact area. Donkeys and Wallabies are also popular inhabitants. Some less familiar animals may be the Collared Peccaries, Whooper Swans and all of the Birds of Prey. The Children's Zoo is open 10 to 5 daily.

After you've been educated and entertained by our animal hosts, you can get some exercise at the Tot Lot play area. Or watch the people feed in our picnic area. They're probably enjoying a bite from the refreshment stand.
