COVID-19 Coronavirus Update

In an abundance of caution, the Utica Zoo will be closed to the public until further notice to help mitigate the spread of the COVID-19 Coronavirus. We will have a core team of animal care professionals on grounds to continue to provide top level animal care to our animals. Please refer to our Facebook page for continuous updates. Thank you.

Accepting Bottle and Can Donations

May 4, 2020

As a conservation-minded animal care facility, we look for as many possible ways to help keep our planet clean. We are also a 501(c)3 not for profit charitable organization that relies on donations of all kinds to continuously care for our animals. To that end, we are glad to accept donations of returnable cans and bottles! The process is simple to donate your cans and bottle:

-Head up to the Zoo parking lot and look for our Bottle and Can Donation receptacle to the right side of the lot

-You may also drop bags/boxes next to the A-frame sign in our entrance plaza area.

-If the main gate is closed (after 5pm or before 8am) feel free to leave bags at the gate.

Please take note: all areas of the Utica Zoo parking lot and entry area are under video surveillance. We ask that you do not attempt to enter the Zoo or loiter in the parking lot.

Thank you for thinking of us during the important time!
