The annual Eggstravaganza is scheduled for Saturday, April 19th from 11am-3pm on the sprawling grounds of the Utica Zoo. Wander through the Zoo to find Easter Eggs in the age segmented egg hunts. Play Easter games while visiting some of your favorite animals during Docent lead animal presentations. Don’t forget to say hello to the Easter Bunny with photos available by Whitesboro Fun Pix! With so much to do, celebrate the season at the Utica Zoo!
Members receive free admission to zoo, $3 event wristband fee applies if participating in activities.

The Utica Zoo’s education department has Zoo Camps for kids of all ages. The Zoo environment and animal themed fun make these camps popular and a great addition to any child’s day. The Utica Zoo’s own Toluca the Mexican Wolf has been chosen as genetically valuable to the species and will now be at the Wolf Conservation Center as part of the SSP (Species Survival Plan) We are very excited to be apart of the Mexican Wolf SSP! This is just one way we continue to foster the future of animals and their environments.

The Utica Zoo welcomes the newest addition to its animal collection, the Canada Lynx. The new Lynx will be on exhibit on Sunday, December 15th in conjunction with Holiday Hoot at the Zoo which is the Zoo’s annual holiday celebration. The pair of Lynx were recently acquired from a facility in Watertown NY and will now have a home on the Utica Zoo’s North Trek. In addition to the new Lynx, Snowy Owls, Mexican Wolves, and Red Fox can also be found on the Trek.
The Utica Zoo is open year round ( closed Thanksgiving and Christmas) and many of the animals can be seen out in the snow. During the winter months, the Zoo offers snow shoe rentals and trails on the North Trek for those looking to see animals in a new way. Visitors are encouraged to bring their own equipment as well and join the many that have taken advantage of the season’s beautiful landscapes.
