COVID-19 Coronavirus Update

In an abundance of caution, the Utica Zoo will be closed to the public until further notice to help mitigate the spread of the COVID-19 Coronavirus. We will have a core team of animal care professionals on grounds to continue to provide top level animal care to our animals. Please refer to our Facebook page for continuous updates. Thank you.

The Utica Zoo, like the rest of our country and world, is responding to the COVID19 virus in the most responsible, and caring way possible.  The Utica Zoo animals are being cared for on-grounds by our specialized, passionate keeper staff and the zoo is being maintained by our caring facilities staff.  They are quite lonely without you, our visitors and friends.  This temporary, yet required zoo closure will devastate the zoo’s income! As a not-for-profit, all of our income goes back to our animals, facilities and our staff.  We were days away from our peak season when COVID19 hit our community; we’ve already postponed 2020 Spring events, and the loss of this critical fundraising, admission and gift shop revenue will have a devastating negative impact on the Utica Zoo’s future.

Your generous gift today will ensure an amazing visit to the zoo when we can re-open.  Please help us care for the animals and envision a bright future for our region’s one and only Utica Zoo
