April 28, 2018 all-day

Utica Zoo’s annual Earth Day Celebration is Saturday, April 28th, 2018 from 11am to 3pm at the Utica Zoo. We will be celebrating our animals and how important they are to our world! Pine saplings will be given to the first 50 families in attendance, and animal meet and greets will occur throughout the day.

  • Meet Smokey Bear!
  • Visit our many conservation tables and earth friendly vendors, including So Sweet Candies, Mustard Seed, Suez Water Technology, and more!
  • Free Paper Shredding by Empire Recycling
  • Dolly & Sunny will be here offering face painting
  • Voss’ will be open serving all your local favorites, as well as El Jefe’s and Grapevine Gyros

Participate in our Recycled Art Contest at the Utica Zoo Earth Day Celebration! Make a project at home or stop by our craft station in the auditorium during the event to create a project!

The contest will be divided into three age groups: PreK through 1st grade, 2nd grade through 5th grade, and 6thgrade through 12th grade. One winner will be chosen from each age group to win a family membership to the Utica Zoo.

Projects can be dropped off from April 21st to April 28th. All projects must be submitted by 2:00pm on April 28th to be entered into the contest. Only one project per person may be entered and all projects must be made of recycled materials!

Regular admission applies; Zoo members get in for free! If you are interested in becoming a vendor, please contact Kathleen McGill at! We can’t wait to see you here!
