Be a part of the laughter, awe and wonder among the thousands of children and adults who enjoy the Utica Zoo. "Companies For Kids," the Utica Zoo's Business Membership Program supports the Zoo's educational programs that entertain and educate children and adults about wildlife, science and conservation of the Earth's most natural resources.
Private support from the business community is vital to ensure the Zoo's continued success. Participation in our "Companies For Kids" program provides perfect opportunities for businesses of all sizes to become involved in the Utica Zoo. Levels of support begin at $100.
Since becoming chartered by the New York State Department of Education in 1965, the Utica Zoo continues its mission to educate and entertain about everything natural, from fur to fins and whiskers to wings. Our popular educational programming includes live animal presentations, "Zoo Edventure" preschool classes, home school classes, summer zoo camps, birthday parties and special events. Educational volunteer opportunities are available through our Docent and Junior Docent programs. School-to-work and internship programs support and enhance the training of the animal care professionals of tomorrow.
As a Business Partner your company receives a host of benefits. Included at every level are free zoo passes, which may be used for your employees or clients. Business partners of the "Companies For Kids" program annually help more than 18,000 children participate in the Zoo's educational programming. With your help, laughter and learning will continue to go hand in hand at the Utica Zoo. Join now. It's easy and beneficial. Visa and MasterCard accepted. Call 738-0472.
Matching Gifts
You can double, even triple, the impact of your gift of support with a matching gift from your employer. Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match charitable contributions made by employees. Some companies will even match gifts made by retirees and/or spouses. Companies that have made contributions to the Utica Zoo include GE Foundation, Verizon, and Kellogg's.
Contact the Human Resource Department at your place of work to see if there is a Matching Gifts Program in place and find out how to maximize the impact of your personal contribution. Community support from individuals and businesses is vital to our efforts to achieve our mission to foster public understanding and appreciation of wildlife species and their ecosystems through education, conservation and recreation.
Your support is deeply appreciated and we look forward to continuing to bring you and the community a safe, professional facility to enjoy with family and friends again and again. |
