No school? Bring your kids to the Utica Zoo to learn all about animal habitats! Our school break Zoo camps are held from 10 am to 1 pm and are open to learners from 1st to 4th grade. Camp activities include animal meet and greets, enrichment projects, touring the zoo, and crafts.
The cost of each session is $30.00 per child for members and $35.00 per child for nonmembers. Pre-registration is required for all camp sessions. If you have any questions or would like to sign a child up for a camp session, please email the education department at email@example.com or call 315-738-0472 ext. 36.
Monday, January 21st: Sun, Sand, & Scales
Take a break from the cold winter weather to learn about the desert! Desert animals have some incredible adaptations that help them to live in such a harsh environment!
Monday, February 18th: Wetland Wonders
Wetlands are an incredibly important habitat for both animals and people! Learn about what makes wetlands so unique and how they provide many resources to the animals that live there.
Friday, February 22nd: Over in the Forests
Have you ever seen footprints in the snow and wondered what animal they belong to? Find out what kinds of animals live in our backyard and how they survive in winter!
Monday, April 15th: Meadows & Grasslands
From savannahs to prairies, grasslands can be found all over the world! Join us as we explore the many different grasslands and discover what kinds of animals live in these habitats.
Friday, April 19th: Barnyard Bash
Chickens, goats, pigs, and many more animals call the farm home! Meet some of our farmyard friends up close, as well as some of the wild animals who live there too, and discover why farms are so important to these animals!
Summer Zoo Camp dates and topics will be released on February 11, 2019. Member Registration will open on February 11 and non-member registration will be open March 4, 2019.
