Here are Utica Zoo’s Winter Education programs for 2016-2017. Pre-registration is required. See registration information after the list of classes.
Homeschool (6 Years and Up): Is your child a budding zoologist? Our interactive classes help to further home school studies through group activities and animal interactions. Class begins at 10:30am in the auditorium.
Hatchlings (18 Months – 3 Years): Join us as we transform our classroom into an exploration center just for your toddler. Each session will have themed activities, discovery stations, and new animals to meet! The class meets in the auditorium at 10:30am, with a repeat of the class at 1:30pm.
Zoo Adventures (3 – 5 Years): Join our monthly preschool program as we explore the world of animals through storybooks! Each session includes a story, animal meet and greet, and activity. The class begins at 10:30am in the auditorium.
Utica Public Library at the Zoo (6 Years and Under): Every month this fall, the Utica Zoo will be partnering with the Utica Public Library for special, interactive story time programs! There will be fun stories, games, songs, and of course, animals! The cost per class is $5.00 per child and any accompanying adults are free. Admission to the zoo for the day is also included in this price. Please note that these classes are at 2:00pm.
Pre-Registration is Required!
All classes cost $5.00 per child for members and $10.00 per child for nonmembers. Families are welcome to arrive at 10:00am to enjoy coffee while your kids play! There will be activities and games provided before the class begins at no additional cost.
