We’re Open!

WE ARE OPEN TO ALL VISITORS! Open daily from 10am-4:30pm. Reservations are not required. WE WILL BE OPEN ON MEMORIAL DAY FROM 10AM-4:30PM!

June programming at Beaversprite Conservation Education Center is all about trees. Trees give oxygen, filter our water, provide habitat for countless animals, sequester carbon and generally make our ecosytems happier and healthier.
Stop into the natue center any June weekend and pick up a Tree-mendous Trees booklet, then head out to explore our forests and find your favorite tree! You can also borrow a Beaversprite adventure pack to enhance your visit.

Friday Family Fun

This program is for families with toddlers and early elementary aged children. It takes place every Friday at 11:00 AM. Each week’s adventure will focus on a different tree part and begins with a story and related activity and/or craft, then it is out into the woods for naturalist led exploration.  The class lasts approximately an hour. The fee is $5.00/child.  This program takes place primarily outdoors so please plan accordingly. Participants must pre-register by emailing; mary.hall@uticazoo

June 4th – B is For Bark

Bark protects the trees from injury and disease. It is full of interesting colors and textures and it floats! We will be making bark boats to send down the creek with our special wishes.

June 11th – Lots of Leaves

Leaves come in all different shapes and sizes. Join us as we investigate lots of leaves and make a leaf print book

June 18th – Cones, Fruits and Seeds

Big cones, small cones, juicy fruits and prickly pears, trees hide their seeds in a variety of packages. We will go on a seed search and make a pine cone creature.

June 25th – The Branches

What’s brown and sticky? A stick! Branches are the arms of the trees, holding the leaves and cones, giving birds a place to build a nest and squirrels a way to move through the trees.  Join us in the woods as we use branches to build a fun fort.

Saturday Morning Nature Club

The Nature club will meet every Saturday Morning from 9:00 to 10:00 AM starting June 19th.   Each week a new topic will be addressed, and activities will include games, crafts and nature hikes.
